Multiple Matrix Options in specific order

Is there a way to change the order of the matrix option on the web store.  I have an item that has four options and it only makes sense if you choose the options in a specific order.  I have tried changing the order of how I select the options during creation but it has no effect on the order of the options after it is created.  Anyone have any ideas on this?
