Images not updating in webstore

I have several images, where I have overwritten the image in Lists>Wed Site> Images with a newer version of the same name. The problem ios that the website continues to display the original image, which often is incorrect. It appears that the web store is maintaing it's own cache of images to which we have no dorect access. Is there a way to force the stoer to refresh its images.

This is not a caching issue with my browser.
