Custom Item Fields

In the past we created Custom Item Fields to use on our website but now we tried to create Custom Item Fields and we cannot use them online.

Setup > Customization >Item Fields

The weird part is that the previous fields that we created if you go to the the history tab the have under the Store column Yes, the new fields that we created have No.

Did anything change in the new version? How do you make custom item fields available online?
