Kits with parent matrix items
I know this issue was discussed last year but I'd like to open the discussion again.
We need the ability to make kits with 1 regular inventory item and a parent matrix item. Here is why: we sell stuffed animals with customized t-shirts. We would like to be able to create a kit with one bear and small t-shirts (that come in 8 colors), and have a drop down box so they can choose which color shirt they want.
I know we can create kits with the bear and 1 shirt color (child matrix item), but if we did that for every item we would have an exponentially large number of items on the site. The answer of course is to make it so a kit can contain the parent of a matrix item.
