Shipping Calculator on Item Page, is it possible?

Is it possible to include the "shipping calculator" script on an item page so visitors can calculate the shipping charges of an item without adding it to the shopping cart?

Has anyone done it or does anyone know if this is a possible(or future) feature of NS?
