Test environment in v2007

edited Mar 18, 2019 4:54PM in Web Site / E-Commerce 9 comments

A search of the 2007beta help brings up results and the "snippet" says something about the new test environment  ...but I click on it to read more and I get "Page not found".  So, I guess the "beta help" isn't ready.

From what I saw, I have a concern.

The snippet said "In your Web Site Hosting Files folder, there are two folders—Live and Staging".  Another snippet said that you get a domain for your test site and assign it to use the Staging folder.

I am concerned that the "Staging folder" implies that it only helps you test graphic files.  Can we test and preview the entire "Staged Web Store" with changes that include change to our "Web Site Theme" and check-out process/forms?  If we mess with the site Theme and check-out settings, will it still also alter our "live store"?  Our problem has always been that we can't experiment with site-Themes and other variables without our customers seeing the changes.

Howdy, Stranger!
