Collecting order number from checkout process

We will soon be offering the possibility to customize products on our website.
The customizing design is done out of NetSuite and if the customer decides to purchase what he has designed, he is taken to NetSuite checkout.

If the customer effectively purchases the product we need to send to our production plant the custom design along with the sales order number issued by NetSuite.
We see the sales order number at the end of the NetSuite checkout but we do not know how to collect it and link it with a design.
Does anybody have an idea of how we can do it?
