301 Redirects with parameters
This is support case 587633 Issue 125345.
If the redirect is entered as:
Redirect From URL:
/information.php?info_id=29
Redirect To URL:
/my-new-url
NetSuite is including the parameter ?info_id=29 in the 301 redirect. This should not occur.
This is very frustrating. The implications are quite large.
To give a practical example that applies to everyone with an ecommerce store:
A "Featured Item" will display on the Welcome/Home page. The URL for the featured item will have "?sc=1&category=-101" appended to the end of the url. The sc=1 represents the "Home or Welcome Tab", the -101 represents the featured items virtual category. Example below:
