Customer Registration Problem

For the past week or so our customers have been experiencing intermittent problems creating an account. We are getting at least one call a day regarding the issue.  It always hangs up on the state field - they get an error saying that they need to fill in the field but they already have filled it in.  We can not reproduce the problem on our end so I am hesitant to create a case.  Has anyone else heard anything about this?
