Control over displaying Matrix Items

Is there a way to display matrix items/child items/subitems just like the related items is displayed?  The only thing I can get to display of a matrix is the options drop down.

I want to be able to display the parent item, and then have the multiple child/matrix items listed below with their full item image,title, description, etc. 

I found a template on another site that I shows what I'm talking about...
