Abandoned Shopping Cart
A few general questions to the masses regarding abandoned shopping carts. This is something that we're constantly struggling to reign in (as I'm sure most folks are) and I wanted to get some ideas on what other NS customers are seeing and, more importantly, doing.
1) Is there a time period you can set on the shopping cart to clear itself out? Or are the items kept in the cart indefinitely?
2) Is it possible for NetSuite to have a screen pop for the customer who navigates away from the webstore with an abandoned cart?
3) What are some common practices of folks out there for dealing with abandoned carts? Do you contact customers? If so, at what time intervals? Immediately, or do you wait a certain period of time. And, what type of conversion rate are you seeing? Do you offer any incentive to purchase or do you just notify them that they have a cart?
