Doctype problems

We recently redesigned out NetSuite web site to mirror the image of our existing web site. Through an extensive and sometimes painful effort, we were able to accomplish this all but in one area. The customer center will not appear right as the doctype tag that was selected does somehow not get inserted on that page. Is there any way around this as the doctype is crucial to our site layout?

Any help would be appreciated...thanks!
