Anonymous Webstore Customer Custom Fields - Vote for Enhancement
Issue #124051 is now open to votes as an enhancement.
This enhancement would allow exposing custom fields within the anonymous customer shopping screen at the beginning of checkout. Currently, custom fields can only be utilized if a customer opts to create a password to save their data. With the rise in use of Paypal Express Checkout, this will happen less and less. We currently ask new customers "how did you hear about us?" but about 50% of our customers don't register so the custom field is not enabled for them to use.
