Tags don't work on "Profile" section of Cust Center?

I'm loving the "tag substitution" feature, but have stumbled across a problem, perhaps somebody has figured this one out?

I've created a couple tags to remove front-end product menus from our left sidebar within the Customer Center.  Works great.   ...Until the visitor clicks on "Edit Your Profile", and suddenly the tag substitution doesn't happen anymore.   Why is this?

Is the "Profile" section not considered part of the "My Account" tab?   Any help greatly appreciated!
