Web Store: Low Stock / Backorder scenario that has fallen through the cracks...
Situation:
- webstore
- low, but not out of stock
- customer orders more than available
- default backorder behavior is disallow backorders, display message
- gets "insufficient quantity" error on checkout that DOES not specify which item is the problem.
Solution of allowing backorders is not an acceptable solution. Don't want customers to be able to backorder.
BUT, on the low (not totally out of) stock orders, perhaps the preference can be tweaked, or one added, so that a LOW STOCK situation where a customer orders MORE THAN AVAILABLE - that instead of a totally unhelpful error, either of the following two could be implemented:
