SEO/ Page titles ?

Question...

I want to change my page titles, but I have a problem.
when I edit page titles, it also changes the title in my Tabs across the top row of tabs on my site. how do I edit the text for the title in the top of the browser and w/in the page and not effect the the titles in my tab selections?

As i am sure many of you may have seen Jessie (Bill) wrote a great thread, which I really enjoyed. this new thread is a spawn of that thread. I decided to write a new thread so I might get some new exposure. if you would like to read his thread the link is below.
