Data Feeds - What am I missing?

I recently tried to use the gBase feed option, and it was very disappointing.  None of the fields had the right name,  missing a few required fields, etc.

Before I start messing with Shopping.com and others - do any of the product feed options work as advertised?  If they're all half-broken like the gBase feed feature I might just pay someone to automate/script everything to save the hassle in the future.
