setting up redirects before you move your domain?

Hi. We have a client who is moving their site over to netsuite. They have a few hundred redirects they want to set up before they turn off their old site and start pointing to the netsuite site. But in order to set up the redirects, it's my understanding that you have to set up the domain on netsuite. This makes it difficult to view the netsuite site because the 'preview' defaults to the domain (which is still being used by the old site). Am I not understanding how the 'preview' works? It seems like you should be able to
