Promotion Code Discount Not Working

as of the upgrade last night, an existing customer is able to enter a promotion code on our site and the code appears as "accepted", but the discount does not appear on the summary of the charges at the bottom.  The word "discount" and the amount simply do not show up. Therefore, despite entering the promotion code and despite having it be accepted, no monetary discount is applied to the sale.
