Merging Template?

in Web Site / E-Commerce

Currently, I have a different template for items with various numbers of related items. Somewhere along the way, duplicates we somehow created, so that there are up to 3 different templates that have IDENTICAL names... now I have no way merging these templates into a single one, so I don't have to copy/paste 3 times every time I want to alter a template. Any ideas on somehow merging these without manually checking how many alt images each item has and selecting a new template in the item record? As far as I can tell there is no way to do
