XML Data Feed

Has anyone had any luck creating an XML feed that contains product information? A few of my customers want up to date information such as stock levels and prices. I know we could produce this as a saved search. But then i would have to run this every day, convert it into XML and then post it onto our site. Very long winded, so if anyone has had luck with this it would be appreciated.
