Creating Site Categories
I've hit a wall and need a suggestion for a better solution.
We are in the process of completely reorganizing/categorizing the products on our site. We currently have approximately 40,000 products in NetSuite with roughly 25,000 - 30,000 active on the site at one time. We carry licensed products for collegiate and professional teams so I have just under 200 parent categories. Each parent category then has approximately 10-15 sub categories. Because NetSuite does not currently allow for category export/overwrite the task of rearranging seems a bit daunting.
My solution is to recreate all new subcategories, export our product listing, then re-import them into the new categories. After which I plan to go back and delete the unused/original categories.
