NS Sales Order and google checkout transaction have different $$ amounts???

edited Dec 16, 2010 8:56AM in Web Site / E-Commerce 8 comments

If you use Google Checkout in combination with FedEX Real Time rates, I would be interested to know if you've seen a spike in the number of orders that come in with ridiculous shipping pricing, and a mis-match between the Sales Order shipping pricing and the one in the actual google checkout transaction?

There's some sort of fall-back rate that NetSuite uses in order to be able to process the google checkout order successfully in the event real-time lookups fail (or perhaps time out). The problem is that this fall-back rate cannot be a real-time rate, and unless we want to somehow load all of FedEX rating engine into NetSuite, we can never some up with an accurate estimate. Right now we have a flat rate of $10 in there, just so that we charge SOME shipping.

Howdy, Stranger!
