How stupid is "Return Invalid URLs as Search Results"

If you use promotional URL's don't turn this feature on... it performs a search for the promotional url instead of loading it.

What an awesome feature than has been so poorly tested.

If you haven't seen it it is under Setup>Website>Setup Website>Setp>Descriptive URLs>Return Invalid URLs as Search Results

It does exactly what the help field suggests, but it ruins all your promotional urls.

Help: Check this box to analyze a URL with missing components, and generate a search results page based on the keywords found in the URL.For example, if a page is not found when the shopper navigates to
