Can I change expiration of partner cookies?
We are trying to use the partner system for an affiliate program. We are able to associate the sales to a partner but would like it to be for a predetermined timeframe from a referring click. Right now the partner is associated with the sales order rather than the customer which is probably the way we would like it but there are some partners that we would like to give a longer term connection.
The default expiration for the checkout cookie is 1 year. Is it possible to expire the partner ID cookie earlier? If so what would we need to do and where should we look? Is it a setting that can be changed or will it involve some scripting?
