Category broken and won't save.. how can I delete it??

Hi, I have recently added HTML to the detailed description on a category on my website. Although I have closed the <script> tags it keeps popping up telling me I need to close them. Even after adding an extra tag the pop up message stops but the category will not save.

I want to be able to delete this category so it can be remade. Is there a way to do this without clicking the 'edit' button??
