Numbr of items ordered?

I was implementing some affiliate code and one of them required me to put the code on the order confirmation page.

The code is rendering fine, however, i need to pass the number of items ordered to to the code on the confirmation page.

Any one know how i can get the number of items ordered on the order confirmation page?
