url for document linked to item?
I'd like to add the user manual (pdf for download) for an item to an item drill-down template.
There is a custom document field on the item record. Let's call it usermanual. I'd like to refer to the document's url (it can be the main url or a url assembled from the URL component).
I can't seem to access either url from the item record. I tried a second field that sources from the document but the document's fields don't seem to be available. I also tried a variety of formulas but they also fail.
Any suggestions on the best way to do this that doesn't mean we have to copy the url from every single document into each item record? I can't be the first person to try this, right?
