abandoned cart marketing automation

I'm a designer and have been looking for a solution to email marketing automation for abandoned carts in NS.

While NS provides some great lead information from abandoned carts, it does not seem to provide us the ability through saved search in order to send a marketing campaign email to a lead (from an abandoned cart) immediately and then again 24 hrs later (provided there is no activity from the lead).

I was hoping that I would be able to simply do this with a saved search, but it seems that the email is limited to being a scheduled alert instead of allowing me to use marketing templates and campaigns.
