How to use the page title in the template?

We have problem in the duplicate title in our website.

Our solution is put an title tag on each template item. We get the exact result we want
but our problem is the title tag that we put in the template item is not the one using the page, title field in our inventory item is the one displaying, when we deleted the content of that field the display name of the item is now displaying as the title of the page,
