Home Page search returns no results

Does anyone have this same issue or know the fix for this? If I enter a search in the portlet on the Home Page of my web store I get no results. But if I go into our Catalog area I get plenty of hits.

We had this same problem a while ago and had to turn our Home Tab into a Presentation Tab to fix it, but now it's back.
