Get user's contact data from SSP Application

Is there an easy way to get a user's contact data from an SSP application? When the user logs in all the data I'm retrieving is pointing back to the customer and not the contact. Even if I use nlapiGetUser() the internalid coming back is the customer's.

We need a standard way to get the contact data upon login, ideally using the SuiteCommerce API.
