Reference My Account - nlapi Access

I have a custom menu item.
The item shows in the Menu list (left panel)
Clicking on the link successfully loads the custom template and custom macro I created.
I can hang code off a button that successfully runs from within the custom Views.js file I created.
The Macro makes a call to retrieve some information using the custom Model.get I created which is coded in custom .Model.js file.

What I'm missing is the ability to carry out standard NLAPI functionality so that I might return record data to the screen.
I have tried adding code in to the Model.js file :
