Last night announcement of Domain Name Changes

Last night NetSuite announced the Domain Name Change went into effect and now we need to change our CNAME redirects.




The original email stated we have until the end of 2015 to make the change.
My webstore appears to be working, however, I can no longer ping it

Can someone provide a little more information regarding the impact, timing, other changes needed to support the change?
Why cant I ping / tracert  my webstore?
