Publish Search in Site Builder site

I'm trying to publish an Item saved search in a Site Builder site.
I've created the presentation tab and published the saved search.  I've made sure that 'display in web site' is checked and the audience is set correctly for both the tab and the published saved search.  I've also made sure that the saved search is public.
The issue is that the search isn't appearing in the site, yet it does appear in the customer center role (when logging in from netsuite.com).

Suite answer: 27789 (Publishing Saved Search Results on Your Web Site) gives an example for which an item search is published.
