Automatically enter promo code via URL - Error is stopping checkout
Our promotion is Free Shipping for orders over $99 with the coupon code "FREESHIP99"
We are using AB testing software to automatically apply the code to half of our shoppers by adding this to the URL. ?promocode=freeship99
This is working well, except if a customer has less than $99 in their cart, they get an error on the final page of checkout.
The error is different than that if they were to have entered the code manually.
Possible Solutions:
1) We need the error to wipe out the coupon code so they can check out.
2) We need the coupon code to allow them to checkout, even if the criteria is not met, and no discount is applied. [ATTACH=CONFIG]n416076[/ATTACH]
