Can you add php files to a sitebuilder site?

I added a php file to my file cabinet, but when I hit it by url it just downloads the php file. I gather you can't run php files from the file cabinet of a sitebuilder site? I'm trying to merge my main website and my sitebuilder site so that our company just has a single site moving forward. Do I have to rewrite the php into something else?
