VAT Codes for Services and Electronic Items (Inc EC and Outside EC)
Following a VAT inspection all my products were classed as services whereas I had been declaring them as goods. (I supply downloadable software and SSL certificates). This caused problems finding out how I do what was required in my VAT returns. I have now figured this out in NetSuite and the details are below.
For those who supply services or products defined as services (such as electronic and/or downloadable items) below are the VAT codes you should use in NetSuite and how they affect your VAT return.
