Update - NetSuite support for new Canadian cheque format
Here is an update regarding NetSuite's support of the new cheque formatting mandated by the Canadian Payments Association.
The NetSuite v2007 release includes enhanced flexibility for customizing cheque forms and layouts; a new standard cheque form is also provided to conform to the new CPA guidelines.
Phased release of v2007 has begun and is currently scheduled to continue through August. This has raised concerns because of the CPA's published deadline of June 30 to move to the new format. They have released additional details which clarify that deadline:
"The new specifications in Standard 006 require all businesses to modify their cheques, and many have done so since the publication of the Standard in January 2005. Businesses that have not yet updated their cheques are strongly encouraged to do so by June 30, 2007 in preparation for the new image-based clearing process. In particular, any new cheque orders printed after that date should reflect the new specifications.
