Change in Quebec Sales Tax in Canada - January 2013

edited Dec 4, 2019 4:58PM in General 4 comments

With effect from January 1, 2013, the Quebec Sales Tax (QST) in Canada will be increased to 9.975% and will be calculated directly on the selling price, not including GST.

What do you need to do in NetSuite?

1)     Create a new tax code for the new QST rate

2)     Create a new tax group for Quebec (leave Piggy Back unchecked)

3)     If Advanced Taxes is enabled, update tax schedules

4)     If you have memorized transactions and you need to update the tax rates on them, please refer to the documentation in our Help on how to go about the update - Updating Tax Rates on Canada Memorized Transactions

Howdy, Stranger!
