Best way to manage discounts?
Hello there,
Today we have set up netsuite using the simplest pricing method possible - each item has a standard price that auto-fills when the sales rep selects the item in an opportunity or an order.
We would like to move to something a bit more sophisticated that allows us to understand how much we are discounting items in sales.
Is there a way to set up the system such that the 'item' price is fixed and the only way to discount the sales order is through a "Discount" item? - spcifically - I want to PREVENT sales people from changing an 'item' price once it's been entered EXCEPT for items of type 'discount'
