Paying Sales Tax

Is it just my account that is messed up with calculating sales tax?  Im looking for a simple report that shows for any month how much we sold, how much was taxable (by jurisdiction) and how much we collected.

The report that exists shows no taxable sales (when there are), the wrong amount for sales, and a collected sales tax amount that does not match the amount actually collected as shown in the sale tax liability account, ans which also does not match the sales in the tax category * tax rate.

I have an issue 111153 in progress on this for a since 8/3.  Since nothing has been done I am guessing there must be some way I am not aware of to get a good sales tax report, or I am just an isolated problem.  Can anyone help?
