Currency Code/Symbol Not Available

People may laugh because it's a rare thing, but we have a number of customers from Papua New Guinea where they have a currency called a Kina (PGK).

I can create the PGK code in Lists -> Accounting -> Currencies, but it needs a 'format' which I have to use a Dollar style format, but it should show amounts as Kxx.xx, not $xx.xx.  As there is no option of PGK in the format drop-down box, what can I do so the customers think I'm not disrespectful of their culture (which actually is a problem)?
