Inventory Valuation Issues- Off by millions
Hello all,
We are having a big NS issues, and no one has really helped us so far.
We are (now were) using the multiple locations feature, and we created a location for defective items- something we should never have done based on the people we talk to. This caused various mistakes in the average unit costs of the items being returned- we are talking billions.....instead of one unit returned having a cost of 19-20 dollars, NS is valuing it at 19,000 dollars!!! this basically causes our inventory to be off by billions!!!
We were told to transfer everything to the other regular location, but the cost is still the same for those units... we know now not to use the defective location anymore, however how to fix the current units in inventory that really not being valued correctly? Should i just change the unit cost using the inventory worksheet feature?
