Separating Sales and Returns on Income Statement
I'd like the Income Statement to separately show all Sales as a positive number, and all Sales Returns as a negative number.
There is a single field in the item setup (basic tab) for identifying the Income Account which we have set to Sales. As a result, when an item is sold and then returned, the net number appears in the Sales account.
It would be nice if there were a separate field under item setup for assigning returns to a different account, e.g. Sales Returns.
1.) Am I missing another way to have Sales Returns appear on the Income Statement?
