sell by the LB (pound)
Among other food products, We sell Meat and Cheese.
These items are sold by the Pound.
A block of these is Sold like this
Irish Cheddar 10.5 lbs RW (RW, means Random weight)
Each item has a random weight, but the supplier is aiming to sell this block of cheese at an average of a 10.5lbs block.
So our vendor may change us for 10.8 lbs, 11.1 lbs and so on.
then we end up going back to the So's and PO's and adjusting the price.
Has anyone found the best practice for selling goods by the pound or in RW?
I know the easy solution is to put the amount of lb in the QTY column.
