Revenue Recognition on Invoice Pmt

We don't fulfill until an order is paid in full- has anyone figured out a way to tie revenue recognition to invoice payment or fulfillment? We dont use fulfillment currently either but it would be really helpful to find a way to be able to tie the start of revenue recognition to when we deliver the product (not manually).
