Sales Tax Origination and Destination
Hello,
When calculating sales tax, there are two types of states. States who are "origination" ask companies to collect sales tax based on the "Home" rate. (ie: where the company is physically located) An example of origination is Texas.
Destination is based on the ship to address. An example of destination is California.
To setup Origination based, one unchecks Charge Out of District Sales Taxes.
To setup Destination based, one checks Charge Out of District Sales Taxes.
This setting in Netsuite is "Global" not by state.
How would one setup Texas as Origination and California as Destination?
Please let me know if anyone has thoughts other than using Avalara or similar.
