Milestone billing and non-service items....
Is there any way to do milestone billing with non-inventory items? It seems like there is some hyper-annoying "service item only" restriction for using fixed bid milestone billing???
Essentially our requirements are very simple:
Be able to apply a milestone schedule to an entire invoice (or by line item if necessary) when the sales order has a mix of non-inventory and service items? Why would this restriction exist? It does not seem to make any sense?
The issue is that we do have projects, however our sales team sells an entire deal (which could include 10-20 items) with a milestone schedule stating (X percentage of the TOTAL will be due when phase Y of implementation is complete and so forth... So we are really really looking to use the milestones in a much more simple form-- unrelated to projects and hours)
