Simultaneous Software Upsell/Downsell
Hi,
I didn't see any other posts surrounding this subject and was hoping someone here had experience with this particular issue. Currently, we have tried to implement an upsell (sales order) and downsell (RMA) process into our system for our software contracts. This was rejected by the business as they refuse to do two separate transactions for these since renewals will often contain simultaneous upsells and downsells.
We attempted to implement a system where downsells were created off of the sales order by inputting negative quantities, but these do not show up on the contract items. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get this all to flow through on one transaction? One solution might be to modify the contract item creation script but this is locked by NetSuite.
